Keychron M6 Wireless Mouse

I bought this mouse for one reason: I was on my third MX Master 3 that became sticky to the touch after too much usage (the rubber melting), and I needed something else. What attracted me to this mouse is A) the all-plastic construction without the rubber grip, and B) it had all the features I wanted such as both vertical and horizontal scroll wheels and large ergonomic shape. I did NOT buy it because I was looking for an economic option. I would describe it as good enough, but I would really love to see something higher end from Keychron. If I could design the perfect mouse, I would continue to not have rubber grips (but maybe textured plastic?). I would improve the scroll wheel so that it doesn't sound so crunchy. I would also change the button that switches between notched scrolling and infinite scrolling. You have to push that button way too hard. Lastly, I would make the mouse a little bit larger and heavier. IMO, Keychron can take on MX Master 3 head on. It's great that they have a value option such as the M6, but I would really see something that competes with MX Master 3 in the same price category. I know a lot of people are looking for an MX Master 3 alternative... hopefully Keychron comes out with one!

I have been using the Logitech Master 3S for a long time.
The mouse is still fine, but I need something with more features, especially for gaming.
However, I want to keep the ergonomic feel of the LM3S.

The Keychron M6 1000Hz is great choice and does what I need (but that doesn’t include what I want).

What I need is a mouse that:
- Has USB-C for power and control.
- Doesn’t require installing an app (QMK is still really useful, especially at work where you aren’t allowed to install apps).
- Has a wide range of compatibility (wireless with 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and cable).
- Is ergonomic.
- Is easy to use.
- Has a sleek design (no RGB! RGB is noisy).
- Supports 1000Hz polling rate for smooth gaming without connectivity issues. (LM3s for example has this connectivity issue)
- Is lightweight (I really like the weight of the M6, but it doesn’t matter too much—it can be a bit heavier).

What I want is a mouse that:
- Has all the features listed above.
- Is quieter.
- Has better battery life (more weight = more usability).
- Uses PBT plastic (if yes, that’s really good, but the side buttons feel really cheap—you can do better).

I don’t really understand why you need the software when you can use the M6 with QMK through the new Launcher (launcher.keychron.com).
You have the advantage of getting updates that improve usability.
Update your website please.

The Keychron M6 could be the best mouse on the market (if it had a bit more quality).

Lots of negative reviews here, I have had zero problems. I am an engineer and use it for cad and a lot of adobe acrobat. I like it so much I bought a second to use at home. I would love it if in the future it was even more ergonomic by making the body a bit wider and taller so you could have your hand at closer to a 45 degree position.
But as it is, I like the mouse. All the buttons work. All the modes work. The battery life is great and it doesn't have stupid RGB lights.
I originally bought an M7 for use at home but I found myself missing the thumb scrolling wheel.

Ignore the naysayers; I have a lot of hours on multiple keychain mice. These mice are about the best you can get at their price. Before this, I was using a Mionix Naos 7000, a Logitech G703- that one pissed me off. As much as that Logitech cost, the battery life sucks, and the buttons started double-clicking. Freaking annoying when you are trying to work. The newer Logitech stuff isn't built like their old gaming mice. I used a G7 Laser mouse with the blue crinkled paint for about 10 years before I had to replace it.

I'm delighted with this mouse. I returned the Logitech MX Master 3S because my Win10 machine kept freezing, the mouse was slow and too heavy. This is like the Logitech but without any major drawbacks.

The shape could be a bit more ergonomic and the battery lasts longer, but three weeks of heavy use is quite enough. The software needs improvement but overall is also ok.

I purchased this mouse thinking it was a premium product with all the features and functionality I wanted in a new, modern input device. I was impressed with the packaging and the unboxing experience. And that's where it all stopped. The mouse is plastic and incredibly light. So light it requires extra gripping to effect small control movements. The buttons all work and they are well placed, but I can't get over how substandard the device feels in my hand. I'm going to return it. I do fear that if it were to fall from my desk and hit the tile floor, it would simply break to pieces. Sorry KeyChron. I had high hopes.
